SALINAS — Hartnell College will once again host the upcoming STEM Expo, a pivotal event designed to immerse attendees in the dynamic world of artificial intelligence (AI).

Scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, at the Hartnell STEM Center Planetarium in Salinas, this Expo promises to be a cornerstone event for students, professionals and enthusiasts interested in the intersection of AI and society.

Jason Sedano, vice president of innovation at Taylor Farms, will deliver an inspiring keynote on “An Insight into the Future of AI,” offering a glimpse into what the future holds for AI technologies and their application in various sectors.

A panel of esteemed experts, including Luis Alvarez, John Baltz, Thomas Atchison and Garrick Kremesec, will delve into crucial topics, such as Ethical AI, AI in Industry, AI R&D, and the societal impacts of AI. This discussion will provide a comprehensive overview of the challenges and opportunities presented by AI.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage directly with the speakers during an interactive Q&A session, encouraging a deeper understanding of AI and its potential.

The STEM Expo, from 1 to 5 p.m., will include more than 30 employers and education partners showcasing their companies, AI initiatives and offering insights into educational pathways and careers in AI and STEM.

The STEM Expo is more than just an event; it’s a gateway to the future of AI and STEM careers. Participants will have the chance to network with industry leaders, learn about cutting-edge AI applications and discover educational and career opportunities in high-demand fields.
