GREENFIELD — Greenfield Police Department received multiple reports of gunshots heard in the area of St. Charles Place and Huerta Avenue, near Village Green Park, on June 13 at about 8:20 p.m.

Greenfield officers, along with assistance from the Soledad and King City police departments, responded to the scene, where they discovered evidence of a shooting. No injuries were reported.

“Thankfully, no one was struck or injured by gunfire, and multiple community members came forward with information about the incident,” said Greenfield Police in a news release. “Greenfield Police Department is continuing to investigate this matter, and detectives are gathering additional evidence and information.”

The department is encouraging anyone who may have additional information to come forward by contacting Detective Lerma at 831-601-8376.

“We want to express our sincere gratitude to the community members who have already come forward with information related to this incident,” police said. “Your cooperation and support are essential in helping us solve this case and keeping our community safe.”

The investigation is ongoing, and police said more information will be released as it becomes available.
