GONZALES — The Gonzales High baseball team suffered two different losses last week to the Pacific Grove Breakers.

The first game was a 13-0 shutout setback at home and the other was a 3-2 heartbreaker on the road. The losses dropped the Spartans to 4-6 in the Mission Trail Athletic League, and 4-12 overall.

At home on April 18 the Breakers smashed 11 hits while limiting the Gonzales to just three hits. In the Friday game Gonzalo Villagomez pitched five innings for the Spartans and allowed just two hits and one earned run.

Gonzales played yesterday in San Juan Bautista against the Anzar Hawks and will host the Hawks tomorrow on the Spartan playing fields.
