GONZALES — New members, more projects and parent volunteers and plans for the upcoming holiday season are all part of what Gonzales 4-H members are working on.

Gonzales 4-H has welcomed 18 new members this year along with additional projects and parent volunteers.

“Every year we do a service learning project,” said President Lucas Barba. “This year our service learning project is giving school supplies to kids in need at La Gloria and Fairview.”

In the upcoming months, Gonzales 4-H is planning to have two Thanksgiving baskets for families in need and a canned food drive.

During the winter months, the club plans to adopt two families to provide a food basket, tree and gift for each family member.

Meetings are held every second Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
