KING CITY — As part of its economic development efforts, the City of King is sponsoring a free workshop on Thursday, April 27, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the City Council Chambers, 212 S. Vanderhurst Ave.

The workshop will be hosted by Mission Community Services Corporation, which will present information on SBA guaranteed loan programs — from small loans for home-based businesses to large transactions.

It will provide participants with the tools and resources needed to access capital for start-up businesses and business expansions.

Micro-lenders, such as California Coastal Rural Development Corporation and other local banks, will provide loan qualifications and tips on their loan programs.

Spanish translation will be available. Contact Maricruz Aguilar at City Hall at 385-3281 for information.
