GONZALES — The Fall Festival on Fourth Street in downtown Gonzales drew a crowd Saturday night with plenty of ghouls and monsters in attendance just days before Halloween.

Nonprofit groups sold food and crafts while children and their parents enjoyed the games, music and contests. The main contest was the Trunk or Treat contest that had many contestants.

The Trunk or Treat contest finished as a two-way tie for first between the Spiders vehicle by Olivia Perea and the Fairies vehicle that was decorated by Sandy Villegas.

Placing third was the Ninja Turtles vehicle that belonged to Chano Montoya and Claudia Pizano.

The evening concluded with a Halloween costume contest that included children dressed in their scariest and cutest attire while competing for prizes.
