GONZALES — Tri-Cities Disposal held its annual fall reuse, recycle and cleanup weekend at Fairview Middle School on Oct. 28 and 29.
The clean-up included mattresses, electronics, TVs, computers and more. Helping out with the event was the Gonzales High School Cross Country team members Rodrigo Garcia, Angel Anguiano, Martin Almaraz, Ashley Ochoa and Ozzy Garcia.
On Saturday the middle school location accepted SVR antifreeze, batteries, oil and paint, and on Sunday the containers were mostly full of items donated by Gonzales residents. Clothes were also accepted and taken to the Gonzales Presbyterian Church, which washes the clothes before using them in their clothing closet.
