MONTEREY COUNTY — County of Monterey is opening Cooling Centers beginning Friday to assist residents living in areas impacted by the Excessive Heat Warning issued for this weekend.
All residents in impacted areas should be prepared for high temperatures (ranging from the 90s to near 110 degrees inland) and take needed precautions for people, plants, pets and livestock. Stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during the afternoon and evening and never leave children or pets unattended in vehicles.
Following are locations for the county’s Cooling Centers as well as other centers that will also be open to the community:
Monterey County Cooling Centers
Friday through Sunday, July 14-16, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
