GONZALES — The Gonzales Fire Department will begin offering free blood pressure checks to all residents on Tuesday, July 11.

The service will be available every Tuesday morning between 9 and 11 a.m. at Gonzales Fire Station, 325 Center St. Educational materials about blood pressure will be available in both English and Spanish.

“If the doors are open, come on in,” Fire Chief Jason Muscio said. “If the doors are shut, that means we are on an emergency and will not be available to provide blood pressure checks at that time.”

This service may be expanded to other days and times if there is enough demand.
