“We had a great last week of play,” said King City head coach Christine Luna. “On Monday, we had our Senior Night where we honored our three seniors, Avery Munoz, Jocelyn Olivera and Alizah Carrillo. We played a great five-set thriller against league champion Stevenson. The result was not what we hoped for, losing 3-2, but the match was an exciting one to be part of. Overall, it was a good season finishing second in the Mission Division with Alisal.”
Bri Zamora had 12 kills, three aces and two blocks, and Avery Munoz had eight kills and 19 digs. Ella Rubbo added 11 kills, while Gillian Ewart and Michelle Martinez combined for 12 kills. Alizah Carrillo added 23 digs and three aces.
