County to unveil Covid-19 memorial, honor losses

SALINAS — Monterey County will host a ceremony Tuesday, March 10, to unveil a countywide Covid-19 Memorial Garden at the Government Center Plaza, 1413 Schilling Place, in Salinas.

Participating families will receive a decorated white candle as a symbol of remembrance, love and healing.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Board Chambers, followed by the outdoor program and unveiling at the memorial site.
