WEAPONS REPORT

KING CITY — King City Police Department will host a community meeting on Wednesday, March 20, to discuss the annual Military Weapons Report. The meeting will detail weapons currently in the inventory of the department that meet the description of military weapons as defined in Government Code section 7070. The information will include how these weapons were utilized in the prior year, expenses associated to the purchase, use and maintenance of these weapons and any plans for the acquisition of new weapons meeting the description of military weapons. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the King City Council Chambers, 212 S. Vanderhurst Ave. in King City.


DANCE FUNDRAISER

KING CITY — Monterey County Dance Foundation will present “A Toast to Dance” on Saturday, March 23, at 3 p.m. at Casey’s Redtail Ranch in King City. The event includes wine tasting, grazing table and desserts, along with dance vignettes from Giselle, silent auction, raffles and a caricature artist. WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

SOLEDAD — Soledad Merchants will host the second annual Soledad Women Who Mean Business event on Thursday, March 28, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Hartnell College’s Soledad Education Center. The evening of impactful advocacy and women empowerment will celebrate girls, young ladies and women and include recognition awards. Criteria for award nominations are: Soledad female business owner, has a presence in the community, can be described as a role model and is a visionary and has championed for change. Nominations are due by March 22 via email to in**@so**************.com . The nominee that best meets the criteria will be announced as the 2024 Soledad Woman Who Means Business at the event.


BONUS BRIEF: MARKET RETURNS

GREENFIELD — Market at the Gazebo has returned, and runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Village Green Park in Greenfield. The market, featuring an assortment of food and crafts, opened March 16 and continues through Nov. 2.
