Residents and veterans alike gathered at the Gonzales Cemetery for the annual Memorial Day Observance on Monday. Hosted by Gonzales American Legion Post 81, the May 29 ceremony featured a 21-gun salute by the Gonzales Police Explorers, Soledad High’s NJROTC Color Guard presenting the colors, and the annual fundraising barbecue. Other Memorial Day ceremonies also took place in Soledad and Greenfield this year.
