SOLEDAD — Soledad Police Department in cooperation with the California Highway Patrol conducted a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint in the 100 block of Front Street on April 21.
Police said Friday’s checkpoint was “a success, and thankfully we came across no DUI drivers.”
A total of 458 vehicles traveled through the checkpoint. Of these vehicles, 141 drivers were contacted — 10 citations were issued for driving without a license and two field sobriety tests were administered, but the drivers were not driving under the influence, police said.
“Soledad Police Department will continue efforts to reduce DUI violations in our city,” police said.
