GONZALES — Drs. Ignacio Guzman and Juan Bautista provided free sport physicals Nov. 13 at the Fairview Middle School gym in Gonzales for Gonzales High School’s Spartan cross country, football and volleyball teams.

While Covid-19 impacted the start of the fall sports season, local student-athletes are hopeful they can begin conditioning after the California Interscholastic Federation, which governs high school sports, makes a decision Dec. 14.

Guzman, a Gonzales High alumnus, supervises staff at Gonzales Primary Care and is the owner of North Fresno Primary Care, where he works alongside Bautista. He has been providing free physicals for local students for the past few years.
