WIENERMOBILE DELIVERY

SALINAS VALLEY — As part of its annual “coast-to-coast wienie roast,” and its mission to drive miles of smiles, the iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be cruising the hot dog highways of Salinas until Sunday, Nov. 15. On Thursday, Oct. 12, the Wienermobile will be teaming up with Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley to drive miles of smiles to Meals on Wheels recipients by helping to deliver a local route.


DIABETES DAY

KING CITY — Mee Memorial Healthcare System will host a drive-thru education event Thursday, Nov. 12, in honor of World Diabetes Day. Attendees can visit and pick up diabetes information, including a risk-assessment questionnaire. The event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the front of Mee Memorial Hospital, 300 Canal St., in King City. Follow the cones to the drive-thru event. There will be no diabetes testing at this event.


AGTECH EXHIBITION

SALINAS — A new special exhibition at the Steinbeck Center in Salinas features a diverse generation of women innovators to help inspire and encourage others to consider careers in agtech. “From Farms to Incubators: Women Innovators in California Agtech” uses multimedia and digital storytelling, including video, documentary and still photography, to honor these groundbreaking pioneers. Presented by the group From Farms to Incubators, the exhibition kicks off Thursday, Nov. 12, with a virtual opening event from 4 to 6 p.m., with viewing available through Jan. 12.
