SALINAS — The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds performed a display of aerial teamwork during the 2023 California International Airshow in Salinas last weekend.

The Thunderbirds, one of the oldest demonstration squadrons in the Air Force, were the headliner of this year’s airshow, Oct. 7-8, featuring a mix of six aircraft performing formation flying and solo routines.

Another military jet team, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, also wowed thousands of spectators at the Salinas Municipal Airport.

For more than 40 years, the community-based airshow has showcased aviation excellence while raising funds for local charities.
