SOLEDAD — An armed assault took place Tuesday night at Soledad High School, where police responded to a report of a subject with a firearm and a victim who was attacked.

The Feb. 18 incident occurred at about 7 p.m., prompting a swift response from the Soledad Police Department. Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from severe head lacerations.

Authorities have identified the suspects as brothers Carlos Hernandez, 25, and Noe Hernandez, 34, both residents of Soledad. The pair allegedly fled the scene in a grey 2021 Honda Pilot, bearing a California license plate number 8VMU025, and were reportedly in possession of a firearm.

Soledad Police Department is urging the public to come forward with any information regarding the whereabouts of the Hernandez brothers.

“Both individuals are considered armed and dangerous, and the public is advised not to approach them,” police said in a news release, adding that 9-1-1 should be contacted immediately if the pair is seen.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Soledad Police Department’s Victim Advocate will provide support and essential services to the victim and their family “during this difficult time,” police said.
