SOLEDAD — City of Soledad’s new Music in the Park summer series is officially underway, following a successful launch on June 13 at Cesar Chavez Park.
The opening night featured a high-energy performance by Shannon and the Night Divers, drawing crowds of families and friends for an evening filled with live music, dancing and local food.
“We’re excited to bring this kind of energy and activity to downtown Soledad,” said Jessica Potts, director of Soledad Parks and Recreation. “The event created a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere, and we’re looking forward to building on that momentum in the events to come.”
The next Music in the Park event is right around the corner, happening Friday, July 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cesar Chavez Park. The featured band will be The Rudians, bringing their signature reggae sound to the downtown stage. Local food vendors will once again offer a variety of tasty options.
The final concert in the summer series is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 8, featuring Chicano AllStars, known for their Latin rock and soul performances.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, Front Street will be closed between Main and Soledad streets during each event, creating a pedestrian-friendly zone where attendees can enjoy the festivities and vendors can safely set up.
Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and their dancing shoes for an unforgettable summer evening in downtown Soledad.
