
SOLEDAD — Soledad Police conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation March 19 at about 10:30 p.m., during which the officers immediately recognized all three of the vehicle’s occupants as active Norteno gang members.


After a search of the vehicle, three fully loaded “Ghost guns” with high-capacity magazines were found.
Jesus Lopez, Robert Ruacho and a 17-year-old juvenile, all from Soledad, were arrested and charged with multiple weapons violations, including possessing unserialized firearms, high-capacity magazines, gang enhancements and violation of court order.
Lopez and Ruacho were booked into the Monterey County Jail, and the juvenile was taken to the Monterey County Juvenile Hall.
