FLU SHOTS
SOLEDAD — Soledad Medical Clinic, Soledad Union School District and Monterey County Department of Public Health are partnering to bring a free flu shot clinic to Soledad. The clinic will take place Nov. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Soledad High School parking lot. The clinic is free for all, no matter the age. Walk-ins are welcome.
SENIOR MEALS
MONTEREY COUNTY — Free senior food delivery programs are ongoing and expanding in Monterey County. Residents age 60 and older who are at high risk of complications from Covid-19 can receive county assistance, including three meals delivered per day. Programs include Great Plates Delivered, AAA CARES Meals and Meals on Wheels South County. Applications are currently being accepted. For information, call 2-1-1.
SEDIMENT REMOVAL
KING CITY — The City of King recently completed its 2020 San Lorenzo Creek sediment removal project, which is designed to significantly reduce future flood risks. This is the third year of the ongoing project, following the culmination of years of work to obtain the necessary state and federal permits to excavate in the riverbed, the City announced Nov. 6.
