GROCERY GENESIS

SOLEDAD — A weekly farmers market begins today, June 4, at 4 p.m. at the Soledad Historical Society building, 137 Soledad St. Organizers aim to run the market every Thursday until October, with safety guidelines in place.

VIRTUAL VALIDATION

KING CITY — A virtual graduation will take place Friday, June 5, for seniors at King City High School. The ceremony will include speeches from administration, while the presentation of diplomas is set for Friday, July 31. Plans will be confirmed during the first week of July, but the idea is to see whether the health department will allow a drive-through ceremony, especially one where seniors can get out of their cars and walk across a stage.

FRUIT FAVORS

GONZALES — Community Church Food Pantry, located at Fourth and Day streets in Gonzales, is asking community members for donations of tree fruit to add to their weekly food distribution. No appointments are necessary, as people can pick their fruit and leave it in a box on the church porch. The CCFP is currently serving an average 540 percent more people than this same time last year. With that huge of a spike in need, they are asking for anything from local fruit trees that can be donated.
