BOOK RETURNS

KING CITY — King City Library’s book drop is unlocked. Librarian Robin Cauntay made the announcement last week on Facebook, thanking the community for their “patience and library loyalty.” While patrons are not able to go inside the building, they are able to return books they finished reading to ensure they’re re-shelved in time for the library system’s future methods of book distribution.


PET ASSISTANCE

GREENFIELD — Beth Brookhouser from SPCA Monterey County announced 117 families were assisted with keeping their pets safe and secured during their Pet Food Bank in Greenfield on May 30. The group does have plans to come back for a future Pet Food Bank.


SELFIE CONTEST

GONZALES — A selfie contest is being put on by the City of Gonzales. The contest runs through June 30 and asks residents to send their selfie with a completed Census 2020 form to [email protected] to enter. A raffle will be conducted for a $100 grocery gift card.
