CAMPFIRE RESTRICTIONS
MONTEREY COUNTY — Effective Sept. 3, campfire restrictions are in place at all Monterey County parks and lakes, including the Laguna Seca Recreational Area. Due to high fire risk conditions and after discussions with local fire response agencies, the Monterey County Department of Public Works, Facilities and Parks has moved to ban wood campfires and charcoal cooking fires at any county park. Propane grills are still allowed. The campfire ban will be in place until further notice.
