KING CITY — National Faith and Blue Weekend, a collaborative effort to build bridges and break biases, is planned for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8 and 9, in King City. Local law enforcement will join community members for a weekend of resolution and reconciliation. Saturday’s event will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St., with Ask an Officer from 8 to 9 p.m. Sunday’s event will be at First Baptist Church, 450 King St., beginning with a Meet and Greet at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Community Potluck from 6 to 7 p.m. Learn more at faithandblue.org.

GREENFIELD — Monterey County Dance Foundation is celebrating 30 years of supporting youth dancers in South Monterey County this year by hosting A Toast to Dance, a fundraiser wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards in Greenfield on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. There will be music, dance demonstrations performed by the Monterey County Dance Theatre dancers, as well as a silent auction.
