HALLOWEEN MOVIES

GONZALES — City of Gonzales is presenting a free Halloween movie night at Centennial Park on Saturday, Oct. 29, beginning at 6 p.m. There will be two movies shown, “The Nightmare Before Christmas” at 7 p.m. and “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” at 8:45 p.m., in addition to a costume contest for youth ages 12 and younger at 6:30 p.m. Drop-ins are welcome, but online registration is preferred, with lawn seating available. SPOOK FEST

SOLEDAD — The third annual Front Street’s Spook Fest is set for Monday, Oct. 31, at Cesar Chavez Park in Soledad. The event, from 3 to 6 p.m., features games, contests, music, trunk-or-treat and car parade.


TRUNK OR TREAT

KING CITY — King City Recreation Department will host its fifth annual Trunk or Treat for local families on Monday, Oct. 31, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds expo lawn in King City. The walk-through event includes a costume contest, fun prizes and trick-or-treating for candy. Student groups, community organizations, sports teams, churches, businesses and individuals are welcome to participate and decorate a trunk. Call 831-385-6748 for more information.
