MOBILE VOTING

SOLEDAD — Monterey County Elections will host an early mobile voting location in Soledad on Thursday, May 26, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Soledad Farmer’s Market, 137 Soledad St. At this location, voters can register, vote in-person or return their vote-by-mail ballot. Additional dates and locations will be announced on montereycountyelections.us. Early voting and registration services are available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Monterey County Elections office, 1441 Schilling Place – North Building, in Salinas.


UNDERWATER MUSICAL

SALINAS — ARIEL Theatrical presents “Go Fish,” an underwater musical adventure with a colorful cast of sea creatures, on Friday, May 27, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 28, at 2 and 7 p.m. “Go Fish” is performed by youth ages 5 to 11 and is the perfect introduction to musical theater for young audiences, taking place at the Karen Wilson Children’s Theatre, 320 Main St., in Salinas. HEAL TOGETHER

SOLEDAD — Heal Together, a program of Coastal Kids Home Care, will host a one-day Spanish-language-only community training on grief led by grief expert Silvia Austerlic on Saturday, May 28, at Hartnell College’s Soledad Education Center. Heal Together offers this orientation for professionals and community volunteers who regularly come into contact with people in grief, a compassionate approach to learning to care for oneself and learning how to support people in a process of healing and resilience. BONUS BRIEF: FAIR PERFORMERS

MONTEREY COUNTY — Local performers are being sought for the 2022 Monterey County Fair, set for Sept. 1-5 at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center in Monterey. The Fair is looking for community acts, including jugglers and magicians, to perform for 30 to 45 minutes, Thursday through Sunday. A performance request form is available at montereycountyfair.com and must be returned by Friday, May 27. The schedule of performances is determined on a first-come, first-served basis.
