VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

GREENFIELD — Food Bank for Monterey County and the City of Greenfield are looking for more volunteers to help distribute food to local residents. The food distribution takes place every other Tuesday and Saturday mornings. To sign up as a volunteer, call or text 831-613-1707.


MONTHLY LUNCHEON

KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Republican Women Federated will host its monthly luncheon meeting on Tuesday, May 3, at 11:30 a.m. at King Kora Restaurant, 611 Canal St., in King City. Guest speaker will be Stephanie Castro, candidate for Assembly in District 29, who will discuss her campaign and qualifications for office in the Primary Election to be held June 7. FREE ENGRAVING

SOLEDAD — Soledad Police Department in partnership with F&M Auto Repair will engrave and visually mark catalytic converters for Soledad residents to help deter theft and increase identification and recovery efforts. To register for the free service, contact SPD at 831-223-5120. The engraving will take place Friday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the auto shop, 2370 Relleum Drive, Ste. E, in Soledad.
