TORTAS WITH COPS

KING CITY — King City Police Department will host Tortas with a Cop on Thursday, March 23, from 4 to 5 p.m. at King Kora, 611 Canal St., in King City. The event is an opportunity for residents to meet, greet and discuss anything with local officers.


COMMUNITY MEETING

SOLEDAD — Community members interested in preventing overdoses and saving lives are invited to attend a community impact meeting on Tuesday, March 28, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Soledad High School, 425 Gabilan Drive. Those in attendance will be trained on how to use Narcan (Naloxone) and learn about how drug overdoses impact youth in the community. The meeting is presented by Sun Street Centers along with community partners, including City of Soledad, Soledad Unified School District, Soledad Police Department, Salinas Valley Health and STEPS Program.


EL SUSTO

GONZALES — In collaboration with the Blue Zones Project, a free community resource event and film screening of “El Susto” is set for Wednesday, March 29, at 5 p.m. at the Gonzales High School cafeteria, 501 Fifth St. Snacks will be provided. SALINAS — Sponsored by the Monterey County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office, the 25th Annual Monterey Bay Area Agricultural Expo and Seminar will return in person for the first time since 2020 on Tuesday, March 28.
