FARMWORKER GRANT
GREENFIELD — A Farmworker Resource Center planned for Greenfield recently was approved for $833,000 in state funding. Monterey County Health Department applied for and received the 2022 Farmworker Resource Center Grant, distributed by the California Department of Community Services and Development, made possible by AB 941. The Center will provide access to important resources and services for local farmworkers and their families in the Salinas Valley.
WEAPONS REPORT
KING CITY — King City Police Department invites the community to attend the first meeting to discuss the annual Military Weapons Report on Wednesday, March 15, at 5:30 p.m. inside the Council Chambers, 212 S. Vanderhurst Ave. The meeting will detail weapons currently in the inventory of the department that meet the description of military weapons as defined by the government. The information will include how these weapons were utilized in the prior year; expenses associated to the purchase, use and maintenance of these weapons; and any plans for the acquisition of new weapons meeting the description of military weapons.

SOLEDAD — Soledad Unified School District Education Foundation’s Carnival is coming to town March 16-19. There will be rides, games, food and more by Butler Amusements at Frank Ledesma Elementary School, 973 Vista De Soledad. Families can contact their children’s school sites for more information.
