MOVIE NIGHT

KING CITY — Monterey County Agricultural and Rural Life Museum will host an Outdoor Movie Night on Saturday, July 1, at 8:30 p.m. The movie “Grease” will be shown outside the main Museum barn at San Lorenzo Park in King City. Concessions and a food truck will be available. The event is open to all ages, and attendees are asked to bring their own chairs and blankets. Tickets can be purchased online at MCARLM.org or in person the day of the event.


FIREWORKS SHOW

KING CITY — King City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture’s annual fireworks show will once again be held the day before the holiday, on Monday, July 3, at dusk. The aerial show takes place inside the Stampede Arena at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, 625 Division St., in King City. Gates open at 7 p.m., and admission is $1 for the grandstand seating.


FOURTH CELEBRATIONS

SALINAS VALLEY — The annual Fourth of July Parade in King City will start at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, along Broadway Street. To enter, registration forms are available at the King City Chamber office, 200 Broadway St., Suite 40. Following the parade, the community is invited to attend the 4th of July In the Park celebration from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at San Lorenzo Park, 1160 Broadway St., in King City. There will be a car show, barbecued rib lunch from the King City Young Farmers, a corn-hole tournament and more. City of Greenfield will host its Fourth of July celebration beginning at 5 p.m. on July 4 at Patriot Park, 1351 Oak Ave., in Greenfield. There will be food vendors and a fireworks show at dusk. Other patriotic celebrations will take place in Gonzales and Soledad beginning at noon with parades, live music and more.

SOLEDAD — Soledad residents can take a Y-PAR (Youth Participation Action Research) community assessment survey to let the City of Soledad know their concerns on such topics as safety, commerce, recreational facilities and overall engagement.
