HOLIDAY PARADE

GREENFIELD — City of Greenfield is hosting its annual Holiday Celebration on Friday, Dec. 9, featuring a holiday parade and tree-lighting ceremony. The park celebration and holiday performances begin at 5 p.m. at the Village Green Park, followed by the parade at 6:10 p.m. and the tree lighting at 6:45 p.m. The parade route starts at Greenfield Memorial Hall and goes through El Camino Real. BLOOD DRIVE

GONZALES — Gonzales Fire Department in collaboration with Vitalant is hosting a community blood drive on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All blood types and platelets are needed, and appointments are encouraged. PANCAKE BREAKFAST

KING CITY — Pine Canyon Firefighters will host a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Pine Canyon Fire Station on Pine Canyon Road in King City. Takeout is available, as well as sit-down on a first-come, first-served basis. For tickets, contact any fire station member or message the Pine Canyon Firefighters’ Facebook page.


BONUS BRIEF: FIELD CLOSURE

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Recreation Department announced that the Little League field at Patriot Park in Greenfield will be closed due to maintenance. The closure began Dec. 5 and will last through mid-February 2023. For more information, call 831-674-2635.
