KING CITY — Mee Memorial Healthcare System is the South Monterey County location this year for KSBW’s tradition of Share Your Holiday tonight. Donations of non-perishable food, unwrapped toys and financial gifts can be dropped off at the Mee Memorial Hospital parking lot in King City on Friday, Dec. 6, between noon and 8 p.m. This heartwarming annual event brings the community together to support local Salvation Army chapters across the Central Coast, offering crucial assistance to neighbors in need. MOW VOLUNTEERS
SALINAS VALLEY — Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley is looking for volunteers to join its team. Volunteers are needed to serve meals at two congregate meal sites for seniors: King City and Greenfield, five days a week, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The commitment each day is about two hours. Volunteers can choose to serve all five days or just a few days that fit their schedule. No experience is necessary. GONZALES — City of Gonzales will host the annual Holiday Lights celebration on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Fourth Street. Admission is free, and there will be games, raffles and a chance to meet Santa. Food, drinks and artisanal crafts will also be available for purchase from vendors.
