GREENFIELD — The Greenfield soccer complex will be temporarily closed for maintenance from Dec. 17 to Feb. 21. Maintenance includes reseeding, fertilizing and aerating, which will create even growth and repair grass during this period. For more information, contact the City of Greenfield at 831-674-2635 or 831-236-1230.
TROPHY FISH
MONTEREY COUNTY — More good news for local fishermen — the really big fish have arrived at Lake San Antonio. Earlier this month, the Department of Fish and Wildlife planted 4,000 pounds of rainbow trout at the lake. On Dec. 18, staff returned to plant approximately 475 pounds of “trophy” sized rainbow trout. About 200 fish between 2 and 3 pounds each were dropped at Lake San Antonio North Shore in Monterey County. “If you haven’t been out yet, grab your license and your gear,” stated county officials.
