PARK PASSES
MONTEREY COUNTY — August is American Adventure Month, and Monterey County Free Libraries is highlighting its State Park Passes while the program lasts. With a State Park Pass from a local library branch, residents can visit many of the State Parks for free. This program is funded through the California State Library and may expire at the end of the year. To further encourage outdoor adventures, MCFL also added five outdoor adventure packs and six disc golf kits to its collection. Residents can borrow an adventure pack with binoculars, hiking sticks, a compass and nature guides to take on their next hike. The disc golf kits contain frisbees, instructions on how to play disc golf and a list of disc golf locations in Monterey County. Visit a local library branch in person or online at eMCFL.org for more information.
