CITY ROADS DISCUSSION

SOLEDAD — City of Soledad will host a community meeting to discuss ideas and get updates on city roads and safety measures on Wednesday, April 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Soledad Community Center, 560 Walker Drive. There will be activities for children, and food will be provided.


TRANSPORTATION MEETING

SALINAS — Transportation Agency of Monterey County and Caltrans District 5 will host a “Transportation Community Meeting” on Thursday, April 11, from 6 to 7:15 p.m., at the Firehouse Recreation Center, 1330 Alisal St., in Salinas. The meeting, conducted in both English and Spanish, will be an opportunity for community members to share their thoughts on how to make traveling along Highway 101 and State Route 68 safer for them and their families. Doors to the meeting will open at 5:30 p.m. Food and childcare will be provided. SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON

KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Republican Women Federated will host its Scholarship Luncheon on Friday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the King City Recreation Center, 401 Division St. The best cooks in town will prepare salads and lunch specialties. There will be a silent auction and raffle prizes, and Jeff Pereira will provide guitar entertainment. Proceeds from this event help fund two $1,000 scholarships for seniors from South Monterey County. Everyone is welcome to stop by for lunch or carryout.
