SALINAS VALLEY — A spook-tacular array of Halloween events brought excitement last week to the Salinas Valley.

City of Gonzales presented its annual Trunk or Treat celebration on Oct. 25 at Centennial Park, featuring costume contests, pumpkins, games and more.

In Greenfield, local schools hosted Trunk or Treat events for students, including Mary Chapa Academy and its PTA on Oct. 30, during which the youth dressed up in costumes and trick-or-treated from decorated vehicle trunks in the school’s parking lot.

Then, on Oct. 31, Soledad Chamber held its sixth annual Spook Fest at Cesar Chavez Park in Soledad, where children and their families participated in hauntingly fun activities, like costume contests, games, pumpkin painting and a Trunk or Treat.

“Spook Fest brought various businesses, organizations, community, families and pets to our downtown area,” stated the Soledad Chamber. “Thanks to all who made this event a great success!”
