SOLEDAD — Three men have been arrested for murder after a double shooting in Soledad left one victim dead on Tuesday, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 18, two people were shot on Bluejay Lane in the Riverview Estates neighborhood, located off Metz-Soledad Road. One gunshot victim was left there while two other people fled the scene in a vehicle with the second victim, who was then dumped in the area of Highway 101 and Arroyo Seco Road.

One of the shooting victims later died from their injuries. He has since been identified as 25-year-old Edgar Mora, who was found on Bluejay Lane. The other victim’s current condition has not been released.

According to multiple reports, the two people in the vehicle led police on a chase north to Gonzales, where they were ultimately stopped and detained.

Adrian Alonzo Jr., 30, Alejandro Alonzo, 23, and Kevin Martinez, 23, have been charged with murder and booked into Monterey County Jail. Their bail is currently set at $1 million each.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
