GONZALES — Flags from the United States and Mexico were represented at the Cinco de Mayo Festival parade last Sunday afternoon in Gonzales.

Sponsored by Pueblo Unidos de Tateposco (Luda) and the City of Gonzales, the May 1 cultural event also included music, food and a children’s area at Central Park, where multiple banda groups entertained local families.

Gonzales Fire Department also assisted with the parade and had an area where youth, big and small, could learn to extinguish a fire alongside firefighters.
