GONZALES — United Way Monterey County hosted its second Stuff the Bus community project in South Monterey County on June 12 at the Gonzales Police Department.

Volunteers and members of the Gonzales Rotary Club, which sponsored the event, assembled backpacks with new school supplies that will be distributed to local students.

The Stuff the Bus school supply drive was first launched in King City on June 5 through a partnership with King City Rotary as well as the Monterey County Office of Education.
