MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County Workforce Development Board is teaming up with co-sponsors, including the Monterey County Farm Bureau, the Agricultural Personnel Management Association and Western Growers Center for Innovation and Technology, for a virtual job fair on Wednesday, Feb. 16.

The organizations are encouraging local job seekers to take advantage of the employment opportunities currently available during the job fair, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Job seekers must register in advance to attend the virtual event at https://pvapi.premiervirtual.com/s/xGAaX8.

While the virtual event is open to all Monterey County businesses that are hiring, it is designed specifically to feature employers hiring within the agricultural, transportation and logistics industries, as hundreds of workers are needed to work within these industries in the county.

“Now is the time for Monterey County job seekers — those unemployed or those looking to change careers — to connect with employers,” said MCWDB Executive Director Christopher Donnelly. “Hundreds of local employers are hiring right now, and it will be easier to find the job you want now before the job market becomes more competitive. And, our Career Centers are open again to provide free employment and training services.”

Job seekers who need help upgrading their resumes, practicing their interview skills and registering or participating in virtual job fairs, can call the Career Center at 866-666-9332 or email [email protected] to set up an appointment.
