SALINAS VALLEY ā€” Award-winning country duo Maddie & Tae is scheduled to perform at the 2024 Salinas Valley Fair on Saturday, May 18, at the fairgrounds in King City.

ā€œWe are looking forward to offering a headlining entertainment piece to the Salinas Valley Fair,ā€ said Lauren Hamilton, Fair CEO. ā€œThe Fair enjoyed Dylan Scott in 2023, and we are thrilled to be offering the Maddie & Tae concert at our Stampede Arena for the Salinas Valley community this year.ā€

Maddie & Taeā€™s unbreakable bond, honest songwriting and ā€œsome of the tightest harmonies on Music Row,ā€ according to Rolling Stone, are channeled into their new collection of songs ā€œThrough The Madness Vol. 2,ā€ out now.

The pair, Maddie Font and Taylor Kerr, drew praise in 2020 for their Gold-certified ā€œThe Way It Feelsā€ album, including the Double Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, ā€œDie From A Broken Heartā€ ā€” topping the Country Airplay Charts, Maddie & Tae became the first and only female twosome with multiple No. 1s.

In 2013, ā€œGirl In A Country Songā€ took country radio by storm, establishing them as only the third female duo in 70 years to top the Country Airplay Charts. ā€œWoman You Gotā€ recently took home Group/Duo Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards.

Maddie & Tae have earned trophies from Radio Disney Music Awards, CMA Awards, ACM, Billboard and CMT Award nominations. The celebrated duo has toured with Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley and Brad Paisley.

The Salinas Valley Fair Board said it is looking forward to Maddie & Taeā€™s ā€œhigh-energy and family-friendly performance to provide attendees of this yearā€™s Fair.ā€

Tickets to Maddie & Tae are available for purchase online through May 17 ā€” visit salinasvalleyfair.com for more information. Fair admission is not included in the purchase of a concert ticket.

With the theme ā€œGolden Hills & Fair Time Thrills,ā€ the 80th annual Salinas Valley Fair will take place May 16-19 at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, 625 Division St., in King City.

Special days include: Kidsā€™ Holaday on Thursday, May 16, where all children 12 years of age and younger receive free admission; Senior Day on Friday, May 17, where all adults 60 years of age and older receive free admission; and Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 18, which provides free admission to all military personnel, military contractors and military dependents with military ID.

Activities and community fun at the 2024 Fair are set to begin Thursday, May 16, at 11 a.m. and continue through Sunday, May 19, at 10:30 p.m.

In addition to Maddie & Tae, the Salinas Valley Fair will provide four days of family-friendly entertainment across the fairgrounds, music on the Steinbeck Stage, as well as the Junior Livestock Auction ā€” to be held Saturday, May 18, at 8 a.m. Fair food favorites, 21-plus beverages and dancing in the Long Branch Saloon are available daily.

ā€œThe Salinas Valley Fair Board and CEO invite everyone from the communities of San Luis Obispo County up through San Benito County and beyond to make their way to King City, CA for a great Salinas Valley Fair themed ā€˜Golden Hills & Fair Time Thrills,ā€™ā€ according to the Fair in a news release.
