Reflections of the past

King City has a new mural on First Street at Broadway. It needs a few more finishing touches before it is 100 percent complete.

This project took close to a year of effort. First was the idea from King City in Bloom, then the planning, mural location, design sketches, revisions, City of King approval and the building owner’s permission to paint the wall.

The next step was the wall preparation. Volunteers cleaned the wall and gave it a fresh coat of paint.

After that came the actual drawing of the mural and the painting.

The cleaning and painting has taken approximately 320 hours so far.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this mural happen and to King City in Bloom for the idea and their amazing support of the volunteers.
