KING CITY — The Mission Trial Athletic League leading Carmel Padres defeated the host King City Lady Mustangs last Thursday, 27-1. Carmel outhit King City 20 to 3.

Megan Flores hit a double in the second inning but was stranded on base. In the third inning Alexus Andrade hit a single and Mikayla Davis scored the only run for the Mustangs.

King City played on Monday at Pacific Grove and hosted Gonzales High yesterday. The Lady Mustangs and Lady Broncos complete the league season tomorrow afternoon against the Robert Louis Stevenson Pirates.
