SALINAS VALLEY — On Jan. 2, Greenfield City Councilmember Yaneli Martinez delivered 90 stuffed animals to seniors at Greenfield’s Magnolia Place Apartments, and some were also given to children from their community.

“Thank you for trusting me with this amazing opportunity! All the seniors couldn’t stop smiling and hugging their bears,” Martinez said.

The stuffed animals were decorated by the Arts and Crafts members from King City Blue Ribbon 4-H. Satin ribbons were put on each 6- to 8-inch stuffed animal along with beads for decorations.

The 4-H members also made Christmas cards to hand out.
