SALINAS VALLEY ā€” Jordan Davis, a 16-year-old junior at King City High School, has been named the 2025 Miss Salinas Valley Fair.

The competition, held March 13-14 at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, saw Davis compete against fellow King City teen Aaliyah Sarina in categories including Horsemanship, Scholastic Achievement, Poise and Appearance, and Personality.

ā€œCongratulations to Jordan Davis, our 2025 Miss Salinas Valley Fair,ā€ said organizers in an announcement. ā€œā€¦ Congrats to Aaliyah for her great efforts during the competition. We also bid farewell to our 2024 Miss Salinas Valley Fair, Natalia Merritt. We have had a great year of representation with her wearing the crown.ā€

Merritt was on hand to personally pass the coveted crown to Davis at the crowning ceremony.

Davis comes from a large and supportive family. She is the daughter of Greg Corrigan and Lisa Davis of Greenfield, as well as Allen and Natalie Davis of San Luis Obispo. She has five siblings ā€” Kristyn, Kyle, Jacob, Jackson and Hunter ā€” and a home full of pets. Among them are her horses, Dora and Short Stack, four dogs ā€” Tessie, Maggie, Millie and Axis ā€” along with two cats, Bandit and Whiskey. She considers Arroyo Seco and King City her home.

A dedicated member of both 4-H and FFA, Davis has raised market swine, conducted scientific experiments on plant growth and bacteria and placed first in the Salinas Valley Fair Vegetable Judging Contest. She has also designed and constructed a unique planter box. Her hard work has earned her multiple champion hog titles, as well as Greenhand, Chapter Farmer and State Farmer degrees.

Beyond agriculture, Davis is an accomplished athlete and outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys playing volleyball, snow skiing, barrel racing, breakaway roping, goat tying, pole bending, big game hunting and light rifle competition shooting.

Looking ahead after graduating from high school, Davis plans to attend a four-year university specializing in agriculture, majoring in agricultural business with a minor in finance and marketing. Her long-term goal is to earn a masterā€™s degree and transfer to law school, eventually becoming a corporate attorney for an agricultural company.

Salinas Valley Fair expressed pride in its newly crowned representative.

ā€œJordan is very excited for this yearā€™s Salinas Valley Fair and having the opportunity to represent the fair in the upcoming year,ā€ organizers said.

Davis will serve as an ambassador for the fair, which will take place May 15-18 at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds in King City. This yearā€™s theme is ā€œThe Berry Best Fair,ā€ celebrating the regionā€™s rich agricultural heritage.
