GONZALES — Iverson Road, between Fifth Street/Johnson Canyon Road and Gloria Road, will be closed to through traffic from Aug. 3 to Sept. 4 to accommodate planned road work.
Work began on the Gloria, Iverson and Johnson Canyon Road Reconstruction Project near Gonzales on July 20. The project includes pulverizing and recycling the existing pavement surface in place and placing an asphalt overlay.
Pulverizing and grading work on Iverson Road begins Aug. 3 and will need to be closed to through traffic for safety reasons. It will remain open to residents and emergency vehicles.
Motorists who use this route and are not residents should use alternate routes during this time, Caltrans said.
