CHUALAR — Contracted crews have initiated repairs this week to drainage structures along northbound Highway 101.

Travelers heading north on 101 will encounter a closure of the No. 2 (right) lane from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. These lane closures will begin one mile south of Chualar and continue up to the Chualar offramp at northbound 101.

Crews are addressing drainage issues at locations that has experienced flooding during past rain events. According to Caltrans, they hope to take advantage of clear weather in the forecast to accomplish this work over the next two to three weeks.

Travelers can expect delays of 10 minutes. Message and directional signs will be in placed in advance of the project area to alert travelers.
