GREENFIELD — Educators and staff from all campuses of Greenfield Union School District joined with Greenfield Fire Department to host an educator parade last Thursday that knotted through the city’s residential areas.

The June 4 parade was a way for educators and students to say goodbye to each other before the beginning of summer, as the Covid-19 pandemic has meant their contact since campus shutdowns has been mostly over phone and computer screens.

Educators decorated their cars and honked their horns while students and their families waved, cheered and held up colorful signs.
