Perez, who was raised in Gonzales, graduated from Hartnell College with an associate degree in administration of justice.

He enjoys living in South Monterey County because of the “friendly-family community environment.”

“I am excited and motivated to keep my hometown where I grew up as safe as possible,” Perez added. “I’m happy to be home.”
